Thanks for another awesome post, full of heartfelt encouragement, wisdom, tips and more. I do a lot of self help, and agree we can’t rely on medics for all the reasons you wrote. I’ve just ordered the book Good Energy. I’m excited about reading it and your next post. Keep up this awesome work Pamela. I love your natural down to earth approach as you warmly challenge folk. You’re an inspiration, and great role model. Well done all round 👏

Thank you, Pamela for this informative article. I am very interested in the book Good Energy, as I will order as well. A very wise doctor I had many, many years ago, D.O., talked to about the mitochondria. Very important that they are nourished properly. I look what you presented as a “checklist” and a reminder. Thank you for sharing.

You’re welcome Karen. And thank you for your comment! So interesting to hear that a D.O. pointed you in this direction. I knew about mitochondria from biology class but until recently hadn’t heard them spoken of in the healthcare world. I’d love to hear what you think about the book.

Sure thing. Yes my D.O. Was my allergist many many years ago. He was a wise man. He retired and stopped seeing patients. My professor in Biology talked about it in length as well.

And now, finally, the word is getting out. It’s funny that what is now so obvious to me was such a big aha! moment.

I've added a daily dose of apple cider vinegar/cranberry juice, meditation and trying my best to do yoga at least 3x a week. I am physically active in the way of taking care of farm animals, so I do get some exercise there. I've also added dry brushing to help with my lymphatic system. I really think the most important thing I am doing this year is really taking a look at what I want to spend my energy on. I went into a semi hibernation this month, and it was so refreshing not overextending myself and those things that I said "No" to, I find I am not really missing and they were not really necessary. And I am thinkng more clearly. Blessings.

Hi Shannon! I’m delighted to hear that your hibernation was fruitful. I think taking stock of energy expenditures is key. How much oomph do I waste on being irritated by stuff that’s out of my control? Too much! My great grandmother lived to be 87. Never went to the doctor till the very end and used folk medicine in the true PA Dutch style. A shot of ACV vinegar daily, I think to keep the blood moving. Sounds like you’re doing that already with yoga and farm work. Good for you! Blessings 💜
